This one-day workshop is designed to shift the paradigm of leadership to a model that empowers people in all aspects of business, corporate and community endeavors. It is no secret that organizations are changing in ways that place new demands on people. Accelerated change in the workplace, demands for effectiveness, and the need for emotional intelligence in communication—have given rise to the interest in creating what are now called coaching organizations. In coaching organizations, those who are in decision-making positions learn how to coach others. This is a natural area of skill-enhancement for executives, managers and team members alike.
The most effective leader recognizes that to craft and attain goals he/she will need to be comfortable with complexity and change. While leading the team to achievement the leader must be sensitive to emerging possibilities, encourage the evolution of ideas, and promote a diverse team. In order to accomplish this, the leader must hold the view of a coach: knowing who people really are and what they are capable of doing. In times of change and stress this is a critical skill set. Successful leaders and coaches know how to bring out the best performance in those they lead. They know that people want to be recognized for their contribution to the workplace or community group of which they are a member.
