Forgiveness, Joy, & Healing
A Two-day Workshop with Maria Nemeth
Every culture has its healing rituals, ways of letting go of old attachments to make way for new possibilities.
An essential component is the practice of forgiveness. As the years go by, many of us develop a history of incomplete relationships and unfulfilled expectations. As these experiences accumulate, our ability to be intimate with others can be impaired and our creative energy diminished. To release these burdens is to forgive the past.
It is empowering to know that you can forgive others. In our heart of hearts we want to be complete with everyone. It is a much easier road to travel. Being complete simply means knowing that all is well. They did and said what they did, and so did you. To forgive is to release the regrets of what is in the past. It is to know what it is to be who you really are. You no longer use past hurts or misfortunes as an excuse for not going toward your goals nad dreams in life.
This workshop guides participants through exercises focusing on our judgments and characterizations, with emphasis on how these distorted perceptions affect us and interfere with our relationships. This work is preparation for a powerful forgiveness exercise designed to facilitate letting go, allowing for the experience of more joy and light. Easily mastered, these tools for forgiveness can then be applied to all areas of your life.
